So when we first arrived at the Grand Canyon it was very foggy, and we could see literally nothing.

 But after eating lunch the canyon was clear, and we got some great pictures!

Thanksgiving

I woke up at 10 o'clock am yesterday. I got dressed and went downstairs. Somebody had to vacuum the downstairs, so I did it. After that we sat up the table and ate lunch. And then the guests started to arrive. In this case the guests were family members, grandma and her friend, mum's sisters and their families - all cousins. I think we were about 20 people all together. We were just hanging out for a while, and I spent about half an hour outside playing with my cousin's kids. Just after we came back inside everybody started eating dinner.

I did not get a picture of the food, but there was a lot of different stuff, most of them new to me. And of course we had turkey and mashed potatoes.

After everybody had finished the dinner we just sat and socialized. I had a really good time! :)

About 8pm everybody had left and mum and dad took Tori to her godmother to go Black Friday shopping. On their way home they picked up Addy who was going to sleep over at our place because we were going shopping today.

Matching clothes wey! My family thinks I look like an eskimo hooker with those clothes hahaha xD

Today morning Addy and I got up at 7.30 am (yes, it was a struggle!) We got ready and one hour later we left the house for Capital City Mall. We spent 7(!!) hours at the mall, shopping, eating, sitting down in Hollister (what? they have the most comfortable chairs) and mostly just walking around looking at stuff and people.

She was drowning in her own bags hahahah :p

We came back home about 5pm and unpacked our purchases and then I started packing for the west coast. Addy left about 6pm and at the same time Tori came home with her friend Mckenzie.

We had dinner and then some more of Tori's friends came over and I finished packing my stuff. When I was done I hung out with Mckenzie for a while and then Tori wanted her friend back hahah. So now I am writing this.

Very tired and very excited am I! I'm leaving for the airport in 5 hours, so I should probably start sleeping now..

Oh and there's an owl outside it's pretty cool to hear it so close..! Anyway, Byee!

Hey again

Okay let's see. What has happened since I last updated?

Indoor track practices started. I had school all last week, but tomorrow is Thanksgiving day, so we haven't had school all week. Instead I've spent time sleeping, watching movies, and hang out with friends. I've also done some homework, since I'm not gonna be at school next week. I'm leaving on a trip to the west coast. It's a trip for exchange students from all over the US. We'll spend 8 days on the west coast, in Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

100 Days

One of my friends who also is an exchangestudent and flew to the US the same day as I did just posted this on facebook. Can't believe I've already been here for a hundred days! That's crazy! The days have passed by so fast, and I feel like I just got here. But seeing an actual number of how many days I've been here and realizing I've spent one third of my time here... I'm getting scared, it feels like I won't have time to do all the things I want to do. I feel like the clock is ticking, and I might want more time.

Makes me realize how important it is to take every opportunity I can get and really LIVE.

Natonel Hug A Blak Kid Dey

Monday was a nice day, even though it was a Monday... Hahah actually Mondays here aren't as bad over here as they were back home. Probably because when I'm at school I see all my friends.

Anyway, I didn't have any homework so when I got home I did some chores and then I counted all the money I've spent this far since I got here. I really should do a specific monthly budget plan!

Oh, and on Monday a new day was invented:

My friend Lynn (who is black) came up with this since there's a "Hug an exchangestudent"-day. (And yes he was aware of the spelling mistakes he made.)

Yesterday I went to get a haircut. Or I got my split ends cut off. I should've asked the lady to cut more than she did, but oh well life goes on. After I got my haircut Addy and I went to SweetFrog and got frozen yogurt. And then we walked around in Wallmart until dad picked us up. My family had dinner at Chili's after we dropped Addy off at her house, and when we got home I did my homework. That's my day basically.

Abby's

Hello!

Yesterday evening we went to Abby's house (my hostgrandma is called Abby instead of grandma) for dinner. My cousin and her kids were there and my aunt and her daughter. Oh and Abby's boyfriend was also there. It was more fun than I thought it would be.

I didn't take any pictures yesterday so I'll just put a random picture of me and Ava from when we were shooting a video for video production class last week.

This Weekend

Friday I did absolutely nothing. We got home from school, and I laid down on my bed to relax for a while, but ended up falling asleep at 5pm. I woke up 16 hours later still fully clothed and realized what had happened.

Saturday our parents weren't home, so Tori and I did nothing but watch movies and eat... Oh and I skyped with my sister :D

And today I've done nothing special this far..

Miseno's

Yesterday after school we had a information meeting about Indoor track season. It's starting the 18th of November, and unless I'm managing swimming I will run track. After the meeting Addy and I went to Miseno's to eat. We haven't really had time to actually talk for about two weeks, so I really enjoyed it!

Tired

I have a test tomorrow, US History, and I have some other homework to do tonight too. And I should go for a run.. But I'm too tired to move.

Might take a nap and then I'll go for a run..

I think I never told you how that went? The guys team got second, so they ran at states. The girls team got 6th I think, so they didn't make it to states. Emma and Maddie made it to states as individuals though. Emma got 108th and Maddie got 134 at states. The guys team got 6th. Pretty amazing actually! :)

The Mall

Today after school I took the bus home for the first time :O Hahahah! It went well, except I went to bus number 23 instead of 3 at first. But the driver was nice and helped me find my bus.

When I got home I facetimed Jennifer for about an hour before I started working on my homework.

When the rest of the family got home we left to got to Capital City Mall. I don't really knlw why, but I think my parents needed some new clothes.

Anyway, Tori and I mostly just walked around. We had dinner, and I bought some stuff from VS :)

We got home at 9 pm (weird how late everything is open here!) and now I'm finishing my homework and will soon go to bed.

But today was a really nice evening! And I got my first sushi since I came here, I've been craving it :O
