The "camp"

Hey!
I actually had a GREAT time at the camp. At first I was completely quiet, but when the others understood that I am a Swedish speaking Finn I started speaking Finnish/English/Swedish with them. Mostly Finnish, and they helped me when I got something wrong. I was surprised (in a good way) how accepting they were, and how good I am in Finnish xD Lol I don't know what THEY thought about my Finnish though, but obviously they got what I tried to say. So basically this weekend was a big language trip for me. I had an amazing time when I started to talk to people, and got to know some of them.
On saturday we had lessons about the rules on our exchange student year, which was pretty very boring. But super important, so I tried to listen carefully. God there's so many rules!!
In the evening we had this "Amazing Race". We were put into teams and then we went from spot to spot. At each spot we did some kind of exercise or solved a problem. Afterwards we barbecued sausages. Then I took a shower and hung out a little with the other students before we went to bed.

Today (sunday) we had this amazing American guy who taught us how to small talk. It might sound weird, but it was really needed! You know Finnish people doesn't really understand the point about talking all of the time, we like silence. I mean I hate to do this "small-talk". Or at least I did until this guy taught us how to do it ;) And now I actually feel a lot more calm about my first day at school in the States. So Trent thank you for that!
After lunch and a few more short lessons we took the buses back home. The pictures below are taken on the bus with two of the girls I met at the "camp". The blonde girl is named Anna and the brunette is Tea.

Funny, huh?
