Hey

Hi again!
How are you all? I'm fine :)
Right now I'm laying in bed, will soon catch some sleep, but first I thought I should update here..
I came home from the States on sunday morning, and then I did some homework. On monday I went to school and then directly to my old school to take two old exams again. (Math and Finnish of course, I always fail on those...)
Today I went to school, but since I had only one lesson I got home at 10 o'clock am. After that I went out for a walk with the dog, and then I went back to my old school Again. This time I had some paitings to finish. Then I had my music-theory class. When I got home I ate dinner and after an hour or two I went out for a run. Then I ate some more, talked to some friends on the phone, and now I'm finally in bed. I suck at going to bed in time...
Anyway this was a really boring update, but that was my last three days :)
Updating tomorrow again! x

Pics

Watch after you've read my last post!
Right after the explosion, below our hotel.
The news
Our hotel is at my mother's finger.

Like I said.. Police officers everywhere

617 – Boston Strong

Yes, I was in Boston while the explosions. Yes, I am okay, and so is my family. I haven’t updated earlier because I didn’t know what to say. I am chocked that anybody can do such thing! My freinds have been asking me what happened to us, and here’s my story. Once for all:
On Monday was Boston marathon, which my dad was running. The hotel we stayed at was placed about 200-300 meters away from the finishline. About 4 hours into the race two bombs exploded close to the finishline. Thankfully my dad had already finished so we were all at the hotel. We could still both hear and feel the explosions, and then we started to hear sirens. After a little while a police officer came to our hotel room and told us we had to evacuate the area. They had found a bomb at another hotel close to us (and one more across the street.) We got ”thrown out” on the streets without knowing anything. The only thing the police said was ”You have to move it’s not safe here!” So we tried to stay away from crowds as we left the city of Boston. My dad have friends who lives about half an hour outside Boston and they came and picked us up. Since we didn’t hear anything from the hotel about where we should sleep or when/if we could come back to the hotel we slept at my dad’s friend’s. The next morning (Tuesday) we were allowed to get back to the hotel and our belongings. There was police, FBI-agents, army and press reporters in every streetcorner and sirens were heard every now and then. It was pretty unpleasant to be there, but people seemed calm.

There’s so much to say about this, I just don’t know how. It’s so different to see things happening on the news at home. When I read my story I get the feeling that it was terrible. It wasn’t. Almost everybody was calm. I wasn’t even close to being in real danger. Compared to other people my experience is nothing.
At the same time it was the most terrible thing ever. When you are there on the spot it is so much more real. Too real. The knowledge that somewhere around you is a person capable of doing this. You might have seen that person, maybe smiled at him/her ealier that day. You don’t know. This person might be right behind you ready with another bomb. That’s what was worse, not knowing. You couldn’t feel safe anywhere.

Now we have left Boston for NYC. Hopefully our stay there will be less dramatic.

21

Okay, so I don't really know what that last post was... I just, I'm exhausted! I got up from my bed at home 21 hours ago, and now I'm in our hotel room in Boston! And I've spent an hour at London Heathrow Airport. It's wierd how mych you can manage to do in less than 24 hours! ;)
Anyway, I should really get some sleep now, even though it's only quarter past eight pm here...
We've got internet on the hotel, (obviously) so I'll update tomorrow in the morning! x

Guess who's hiding behind the curtains

and waving to everybody down on the street?

Hahah, my two sibblings of course xD<3

Leaving

Friday, April 12, 2013

Bye

Leaving this rainy country for a hopefully warmer and less rainy Boston! :)

Packed and ready

I'm gonna sleep now. Syncronizing my phone to my computer in case I lose my phone (you know prepare for the worst hope for the best.) I won't be posting too much while I'm away, because I don't know when or where I'll have internet connection.. But I might be updating occassionally :)
Now my phone is done, so good night!! <3

Public transports in Finland

I seriously hate everything that has with public transport to do!! First, if you are not acting like you know exactly what you are doing everybody wonders what's wrong with you. Second, you have to figure out when to get off the bus yourself, because there's no signs in the bus. Third, you have to figure which way you should go because every stop have weird names that doesn't make any sense at all. Four, sometimes the bus decides it's a bad day for traveling around the town so it just doesn't show up.
That happened to me today... I was on my way from the hairdresser and just as I reached the busstop my bus left. So I had to wait for another bus for half an hour, but the other bus never showed up!! So I was just standing there freezing my butt off. Then I decided there's no point with waiting for that bus anymore, so I took the tram instead. So all together I wasted one hour of my life on waiting for a bus that never showed up!!! Do you understand why I am so pissed!?

Took me some time

I just can't pack if my room is messy, so since last post I've eaten dinner and cleaned my room.. And it was needed! I also put away all books I won't need anymore this year.. So now I can finally start packing for our trip to the States! :)

New School

Okay, so yesterday I started a "new" school. In the area where I live you can change school to another in the same area. So my friend pursuaded me to come to her school... And here I am, in a new school. Or actually I'm not at school right now, because I finished at quarter to twelve today! :)
Anyway, this school is located quite far away from my house compared to my "old" school. I have to wake up a lot earlier that before, and take the train (15 min). But it's worth it! The "new" school is amazing! (Except for the food, but I'll only eat there two days a week so..) All the people I've met seems to be so nice and funny. The lessons are harder than at my "proper" school, but I was expecting that...
I guess that's it for now! Bye
(Below is the only picture I took from the new school yesterday, and yes, I know the people in the picture. I'm not a creepy stalker) ;)

Yesterday evening

Okay, yesterday... I'll start with the evening, and later what my new school was like :)

Yesterday evening I had my flute lesson, and then my grandparents came over to eat dinner with my family. I had a good time even though my head hurted veryveryvery bad! Then I did my homework and took a sauna-bath. Yep, that's it! :)

Dinner

Let's just take a minute and appreciate this

Kiss me out of the bearded barley
Nightly, beside the green, green grass
Swing, swing, swing Your spinning step
I wear those shoes and You will wear that dress.

So kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift Your open hand and
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling
So kiss me

Kiss me down by the broken tree house
Swing, swing upon its hanging tire
Bring, bring, bring Your flowered hat
We'll take the trail marked on Your father's map

Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift Your open hands and
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling
So kiss me

Kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift Your open hand and
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling oh

Kiss me, oh, beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift Your open hand and
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling yeah

So kiss me
So kiss me

Life's Good

That awesome moment when

Domino celebrates 100 years and gives out free cake :D <3

Happy Gal

My schoolday today ended 10.40 am! Such a great end of a stressing week right? Plus I only have two tests left, which I am really happy about!

I'm leaving the house soon to meet up with my friend Sophia :D I haven't seen her in over a month, so I am very excited about that too! We'll go shopping, or she needed a new pair of pants but I am leaving for the States in 8 days (!!!) so I'll probably save my money 'till then.. I might come home with a new wallet tho, really in need of one!
Old, I know.. But I am that happy now!
Updating later lads x

Peace on you

I love this!

Ugly Old Worn Lovely

Down below are two collages of my favourite shoes! I got them when we were in NYC in 2009 and I love them! Many of my friends have been writing things on them, and I've written a few things too. They are so worn out the tray is about to fall off.
When I got new Converses (the blue ones) I promised I'd trow the old ones away. But I just can't, I'm still wearing them more often than I wear the blue pair.
They'll stay in my heart forever! xD
