Today was Carlisle Invitational, one of the biggest XC-meets in the east. And the girls' JV (Junior Varsity) team got fourth :) Not thanks to me though ;)

Saturday evening

On Saturday evening my friend Zach had a birthday party. He turned 17 on Friday but since we had Spiked Shoe he had the party on Saturday instead. (Zach is in the xc team.)

The party was really fun! It seems like in this country where there is a party there has to be a campfire, so yes we had a campfire. We also had food, hahha, so we ate and sat around the campfire, played games, just had a good time basically. 

They are dancing... xD hahahhaah it was so fun to watch, and even more fun to dance.

It was a really fun night! Thank you and happy birthday Zach! :)

Spiked Shoe & a looong run

We had a meet yesterday. Spiked Shoe Invitational. It was at Penn State University, so we had to ride the bus for about two hours before we got there..

Since I've been sick the coach had a hard time deciding wether I should come or not. (Since we only had one bus, only half of the team could come - the fast and not injured/sick ones..) But I ended up coming and running. I'm happy about that! The girl's team got 6th and the boys got 2nd. So the Coach gave us food afterwards because we're such great runners. It was a really fun day!!

We didn't get back home until late though, so this morning it was a real struggle to get out of bed for our 7.30am practice. We went for a long run... And my legs are now dead.

Sick

It really sucks to be sick. I have a headache, my throat is sore and my nose is running like crazy.

Besides I can't run when I feel like this, because I'm afraid I'll get worse. Ugh, and we had a meet yesterday I couldn't go to thanks to this cold. Yay....

On top of this cold I have an history essay due tomorrow.

Wedding

So on saturday my host cousin Andrea got married. It was a beautiful country wedding, and the couple looked so happy! It was a really great night.

7th of September

I have now been here for one month! It feels like so much more :O I really like it here and I am so happy I decided to do this! :D Sometimes I still get a feeling that I am dreaming, that this is not real. And then I realize it actually is real and I am here, having an awesome time!

I do not understand why everybody wants to take pictures of the team After a race? When everybody is tired and sweaty and red... Why not before the race? Just a thought that crossed my mind at last meet...

First homemeet

I did not mention we had a meet on tuesday did I?

I did okay, 3.1 miles 24.35 minutes I think, and I ended up as 18th.

But one of the other team's fastest runners cut the course and were therefore disqualified. That allowed everybody else to run slower. So basically the number 18th doesn't mean that much.

Labor Day Weekend

It's Labor Day Weekend here. Idk what that is, but we have monday off from school.

We're spending the weekend with the family, as in grandmum and cousins and sisters and brothers and nieces and uncles and all of that :)

We're having fun :p :)
